So Much Stuff!

Ben here... It is Sunday morning, and I wake up thinking about how to get rid of all my stuff. We have four vehicles, a tool trailer, a ski boat, and a flatbed trailer, plus a storage unit that is nearing capacity. Anyway, we need to get down to one vehicle stored and one to drive across the country to start this adventure... It is tough to get rid of stuff... Come on Craigslist!
I have been searching for boats for the last 5 years or so... We have tried to narrow our search down to a good solid 36 to 39 footer, possibly 40. These Morgan 38's look pretty solid with a decent layout. From everything I have read, we should look for a shoal draft boat with good performance to windward. We really love the mid-eighties Ericson 38 also, at least on my computer screen... We have been on many boats, mostly looking around Seattle for a boat for the Pacific, but now our needs change quite a bit looking for a boat for the Caribbean and East coast... I can't wait until we head out and check out the possibles in person!
Anyways, we are both a little freaked out and excited that we are this close to going ahead and doing it! Good Times!!!

Hey!

Well, as you all know we sold the house & are ready to set sail... (well, almost)

We still have a few loose ends to tie up, and we're still on the hunt for that perfect boat to take us to the caribbean, then possibly off to the South Pacific!

We are planning a move to the east coast (Chespeake area...hopefully, but who knows just yet) to pick up our boat then when hurricane season winds down...we're headed south!

With a little luck these two newlyweds and our faithfull dog Skippy will be sailing into the sunset in no time!
