Well, he haven't gotten any pictures up for a while, but we went to Mumfest in New Bern last weekend. It was pretty cool, there was lots of fair food and a BMX show. The real show though was the stunt acrobatic plane. It was so powerful and light! Pretty amazing!!!
This weekend was spent moving on board and polishing hardware. Everything was corroded
and gross, so Kristen researched what to do to
and gross, so Kristen researched what to do to
clean it up... Sounds like Kool-ade has another use besides making kids tongue red and blue... the concentrate, full of citric acid eliminates corrosion! These green, nasty hatch bars cleaned up very nicely... Brass fittings did the best! Kristen really enjoyed bringing the old brass fittings to a shiny new state!
As Kristen wrote, we are in the boatyard, up on sticks(boat sitting on props on the ground). We have gotten quite a bit done, but have lots more to do before we are ready. We got the hull cleaned up of all barnacles and growth today. We also replaced our cutlass bearing which the prop shaft spins on. It went really well, I think we got lucky. I have heard horror stories...
Kristen has been stripping teak all over the boat. But the real news that I am sure all of the people that actually read this are waiting for is pictures of the Skip-O-Vator. Here you go!

Brass is looking nice and sounds and looks like you have accomplished a lot of work in a short time.
How did the sweet potato puff go at the pot luck?
